Instructions for the recipient
Before receiving the windows, we recommend familiarizing yourself with these receiving instructions.
Receiving the windows
Products are usually delivered packed on pallets or otherwise in a way that allows handling with a forklift or pallet jack. The products are packed to withstand transportation and on-site storage according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
The windows must be protected by the customer immediately after delivery has been received. The wrapping and plastic included in the shipment are not sufficient protection against weather conditions or construction site dirt.
Check the number of packages and the condition of the packaging; ensure that the glass is intact. Any damage or shortages must be photographed and noted on the carrier’s consignment note. The transport company is not responsible for transport damage that has not been recorded on the consignment note.
Always lift window packages using lifting support, not by attaching straps directly to the product.
Storage
Storage must always be arranged on a flat surface in a space where temperature and humidity fluctuations are minimized. The products should also be protected from direct sunlight. Fire-rated windows may be damaged if exposed to UV radiation. Store windows upright, not leaning.
Do not install windows before interior casting work has been completed and dried. Windows must not be used as passageways: moving building materials or pulling electrical cables and compressed air hoses through windows is not recommended. When unpacking bundles, support all remaining products from both sides. The window supplier is not responsible for defects caused by construction-phase moisture or installation work.
